Asset Investigation in Chicago
Find out what someone really owns. Licensed asset investigations for divorce, judgment enforcement, collections, and due diligence — real property, business interests, vehicles, and lifestyle indicators, documented in a report your attorney can act on.
Supreme Investigations PLLC is a state-licensed Illinois private detective agency providing asset investigations for attorneys, businesses, and private clients across Chicago and Chicagoland. Every search is handled personally by the licensed investigator — never subcontracted. We identify what a person or business actually owns through lawful sources and document it in a written report built to support collection, divorce, and judgment-enforcement matters.
Licensed by the State of Illinois: Supreme Investigations is licensed by IDFPR under 225 ILCS 447 (Agency #117.001922, Detective #115.002750). Asset research is conducted only through legally accessible sources — we never use illegal pretexting to obtain protected financial records.
How an Asset Investigation Works
You speak directly with Robin Valenzuela. We confirm the subject, what you are trying to recover or verify, and what the findings will be used for — divorce, collection, due diligence, or litigation.
We research property records, business filings, UCC liens, judgments, and vehicle registrations across the relevant jurisdictions through professional, legally accessible sources.
When a matter calls for it, we verify holdings in the field and document a lifestyle picture — vehicles, property, and spending — that reveals assets the paperwork does not show.
You receive a clear asset inventory with sources documented, delivered securely. For litigation the report is formatted for Rule 901 and the investigator is available to testify.
When Clients Need an Asset Investigation
When a spouse controls the finances or owns a business, assets get moved or hidden. We document what is really there so marital property is divided on honest numbers.
A judgment is only worth what you can collect. We locate the property, accounts, and income sources that make enforcement and post-judgment recovery possible.
Know whether a defendant is worth pursuing before you spend on litigation, and what a realistic settlement looks like based on what they actually own.
Before you partner, lend, or invest, we verify business holdings, liens, and litigation exposure so you are not relying on claims you cannot confirm.
We identify and document estate assets, transfers, and holdings for executors, heirs, and counsel in contested probate and guardianship matters.
Confirm that the party on the other side of a loan or contract has the assets they claim before you commit money or extend credit.

Asset Investigation FAQ
Are private investigator asset searches legal in Illinois?
Yes. Supreme Investigations is a licensed Illinois private detective agency (IDFPR Agency #117.001922), and asset investigation is a licensed service under 225 ILCS 447. We identify assets through lawful sources — property records, business filings, liens, and vehicle registrations — and never use illegal pretexting to obtain protected financial records.
Can you find someone's bank accounts?
We cannot pull a person's private bank balances — obtaining financial records by pretext is illegal under federal law. What we can do, lawfully, is develop evidence that accounts and financial interests exist, so your attorney can pursue the specifics through subpoena or discovery. For recoverable assets, that lead is usually what matters.
What can an asset investigation actually find?
Real property and land, business and LLC interests, vehicles and watercraft, judgments and liens, and lifestyle indicators of undisclosed income or spending. Combined, these build an accurate picture of what a person or business owns and controls — including assets they have tried to obscure.
How much does an asset investigation cost?
Asset searches start at $650, which includes database and public-records research, verification, and a written report. Field verification and lifestyle documentation are billed at $200 per hour when a matter calls for them. The price is confirmed in writing before any work begins.
Can the report be used in court?
Yes. Asset reports are prepared for attorney review and, when findings may be entered as evidence, formatted for authentication under Illinois Rule of Evidence 901 with source documentation and a chain of custody. Robin is also available for deposition and trial testimony.
